AWARD TRUST works for the welfare and development of the rural poor across India, with particular emphasis on youth, children and women — delivered through partnership.
Scope
Seven areas, thousands of households
AWARD supports people in need of food, education, health care, shelter, clothing, and emotional and moral support. Our programmes currently reach over 4,000 children, 6,000 women and 3,500 youth across rural and urban areas.
AWARD Trust covers seven major areas of assistance: health, sanitation, nutrition, early childhood programmes, women and children, vocational training, and poverty alleviation — plus animal welfare programmes and self-sufficiency support for youth aged 16–35 referred to us by local social welfare agencies.

Case study
OTF/FEO Canada: education for 50 children from widowed & destitute families
Sponsored by the OTF International Assistance Committee, Canada, this project set out to “ensure educational support to 50 children from families of widows, destitute and uncared-for households from Scheduled Communities and Most Backward Communities.”
Community workshop
A one-day workshop on the Free and Compulsory Education Act 1999 was run across 10 villages in Kammapuram block, with around 30 stakeholders — parents, teachers and local body members — taking part, with particular attention to children with disabilities.
Tuition & school fees
Direct tuition and education fee support for children who would otherwise not be able to continue schooling, alongside special coaching centres.
Materials & monitoring
Distribution of school uniforms and reading and writing materials, with ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the project’s impact.
